Using the assemble tool in the 'Tools' ribbon:

Thank you Adrian.

I am trying to assemble some components, translate and then rotate the components around the centerline of an axle.

The information about assembling parts says to look under the figure view (and that the assemble option is not available in Creo® Illustrate Essentials).

Assemble does not appear to be under Figure tab. And the directions for how to do this seem to be a bit sketchy.

Our group is transitioning from a different viewer program and so far the experience (for me) has not been intuitive.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Neal,

The assemble tool is in the 'Tools' ribbon:

Selecting the 'Assemble' button will open the 'Assemble' ribbon:

In here you can choose which type of assemble you want Mate/Orient/Locate, choose the part(s) to assemble and set the origin & destination csys.

Hope that helps.

Adrian,

How do we make this a new post? This was not supposed to be in the post where it is.

Thanks,

Neal Lewis

Hi Neal -

Would you like this moved to another location or start a new discussion in a new location?

Happy to help.

Best,

Toby
