About the setting of SS400_mmns.mat in the "Material Directory"

When I open the material definition of SS400, the Young's modulus is set to "216001MPa".

My guess is that the SS400 material is kind of an "average" or "approximate" set of properties, since it doesn't refer to any specific alloy. You're getting values that are "typical" for that series of stainless steels. You'd likely (I hope) get property values more accurate if you use a specific alloy, like 440, 416, 410, etc.

When I do a quick search, I find that most sites seem to report 200GPa for series 400 stainless steel. So, really, I don't see where the 216GPa value you are seeing is coming from, either.
