Any idea how to select constrains using pro/program?

I need to programmaticaly assemble a component to each of the patterned csys and do analysis. Any idea how to select constrains using pro/program?

Thanks in advance...

Dmitry

Hi Dmitry,

What type of analysis are you trying to do?

You might be able to define component interfaces for automatic assembly of components or use a interchange file to control placement constraints.

Hope this helps a little,

it is shadow type of analysis to see if the surface or part of it covered at each of the 300+ locations. the results to be brought to Matlab for further analysis

Dmitry,

When I worked for a satellite firm, I used to create a shadow analysis using mechanism to show how shadows moved across the structure.  Instead of moving the "sun" (the light source), I moved & rotated the satellite and captured the shadows at specific points (winter solstice, summer solstice, etc.)  Perhaps you can use a mechanism to simulate the changes in position vs. changing the assembly constraints 300+ times.
