Create beam assembly using beam idealisations in Simulate 4.0
Hi
I am doing analysis on a relatively large structure, and I would like to build the the model for Simulate using beam idealisations rather than native models. I know how to create an individual beam, but am looking guidance/tutorial on how to create an assembly, if possible using a mixture of idealised beams and 'physical' geometry.
Thanks in advance
Francis

HI, Thank you for this. An interesting model. Is the connection between the beam section created by using a default bonded model?

"...default bonded model..."
I always use this mode.

So how do you go about creating pin connections between 2 beam idealisations? Is this using a rigid link with rotational constrains set
free in the plane of rotation?
