Creo Simulate Press Fits

I am stuck! I want to perform an analysis on a press fit in Creo Simulate 2.0 but I am unsure of how to do this. Please help it would be greatly appreciated.

You have to do it by appling a thermal load that will minic the amount of press fit you will get and then you can bring that thermal load into structural as a MEC/T Load.

You can create press fit simulation in two ways:

1. Create Temperature Load with uniform model temperature of 0 degrees and Reference Temperature of 0 degrees.

Create Contact Region between surfaces, that would have interference fit.

Run Static Analysis which includes Nonlinear Option Contacts.

Also see topic: Modeling Interference Fits

2. Create Contact Region between surfaces, that would have interference fit.

Run Static Analyis and check the option: For Press Fit, Ignore Interpenetration Larger Than. In the field type a value that is greater than the size of you Interference     Fit.

Also see topic: Press fit check box

Let's say I wanted to see what happened to these contact stresses if the assembly was cooled to -40C after being pressed in at room temperature.  How would I run that?  TIA

Thanks skunks...It's very helpful to have an example like this.
