it is very good to use this function. but i still have some many difficuties.

our company design servers products.i am a mechanical engineer, when we do a new motherboard,i should do a contral drawing for ECAD so that ECAD knows the components' location ,CPU,DIMM ...for instance. it can make us convinient adn efficient to use this Proe/ecad module, but i am trying to use it. so i want to know does anyone who use this function, and tell me does it avilable.

Hi, Yes, we use ECAD to communicate between ProE and OrCAD (EE layout). We have an EE component library set up in Intralink and a hint map created to replace the ECAD block components with ProE components from our library. There are bugs in both the ProE (ProE can't see a hint.map stored in Intralink) and OrCAD side but it works ok. Best Regards, Fergal

Hi : Thanks very much!that's the perfect process of the similar work. i would try to finish the new process for our compony. The most difficult thing is to rebuild the EE components library and complete and maintain the Hint.map file i think. it would cost too much time of mine to do it while i am doing some projects. if my boss can give me more mental support, i would do better and faster:) But i am very disappoited. welcome you come to china someday and make lots of fun. thanks!
