Factors of safety

Hello

Is it possible in Creo Simulate to make a representation of the scale of

factors of safety in a room against constraints in the

material.

And if it is possible how.

Kind regards.

Denis

Factor of safety is the ratio of expected performance to required performance and is based on a guess about what the required performance is. Since Creo Simulate can't guess what the required performance is, it can't generate a factor of safety.

If you want to know what percentage of yield or ultimate strength is used, scale the material properties and the loads so that the yield or ultimate strength is equal to 1. Then the usable stresses will be between 0 and +/-1.

Doesn't PTC have some level of optimization code that could be utilized in design parameters?

Hello

If you completed the information hardware limits, elasticity test, Fatigue,

It is not possible to have a feedback on the simulation.

Kind regards.

Denis.

Hello

By completing the information of matter yields the index of

failure, which is the inverse of the Coefficient of safety.

Kind regards.

Denis.
