How to simulate a mechanism of 2 pistons coupled by a hose

We want to be able to drag/drive the piston of the first cylinder and see the piston in the second move as a result (because in reality the fluid chambers are connected).

already tried a position measure on the first piston to drive the servo motor on the second and a reaction force measure on the first to drive a force motor on the second, but I cannot get it done. The position measure is not accepted as a variable for the servo motor and the in spite of measuring a constant (friction) reaction force, the 2nd piston just does not move in the analysis.

Is there a way to do this in MDO? Please help!

Picture and example model are attached:

Add a gear connection after you create mechanism constraints.

These will be linear.  Not sure if you will need a rotary element or not without trying it.

In that particular instance, being parallel and equal, you can also use an offset distance constraint.

It's so simple if you have found it! Yes! Could not find the option to couple linear movement to linear at first, but indeed with generic you can. Thanks Antonius
