How to simulate gear engagement/disengagement for a 2-speed transmission in a single Creo Mechanism

Hello,

I’m working on a 2-speed transmission model in Creo Mechanism, and I need some help setting up the dynamic gear engagement behavior.

  • The transmission has a neutral, 1st gear, and 2nd gear.

  • I start the mechanism analysis in neutral condition.

  • The input shaft is driven by a servo motor rotating at 1000 RPM.

  • A second servo motor is used for gear shifting (e.g., a sliding collar or actuator).

In neutral, all gear connections should be disengaged.

  • When the output shaft engages with 1st gear, only 1st gear should be active, others disengaged.

  • Similarly, in 2nd gear, only the 2nd gear should engage.

  • All this should happen in one continuous analysis, driven by:

    • One input servo motor (rotating shaft),

    • One shifting servo motor (for gear selection).

How can I simulate this type of dynamic gear engagement/disengagement in Creo Mechanism using just one servo motor for input and another for gear shifting?
