Hi Everyone,
I'm encountering a challenge while attempting static structural simulations in Creo Simulate using Mid Surface shell idealization with contact definitions.
It appears that the contact interactions are being ignored during the solution process, leading to premature termination of the simulation. This issue seems specific to the shell idealization approach.
While switching to solid or thin solid idealizations does allow the contacts to be recognized, it significantly increases model complexity and computational time.
Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Shell elements are linear in Simulate.
Contacts, however, are nonlinear 😂
