Now that WF5 is in Pre-production I wonder if any of you can tell me whether my two primary issues with MDO have been addressed:
1. You cannot put loads (frictions, springs, etc.) or servo motors on a ball joint because it has no axes. There is no other joint or combination of joints available as a workaround. In Mechanica Motion the joint I used for this was called a Gimbal joint.
2. You cannot attach the camera to any body except ground. In Mechanica Motion (independent mode) I could attach the camera to any of the moving bodies.
Are gimbal joints and camera-on-body implemented in WF5-MDO?
Since Mechanica Motion was retired our workaround has been to do our analyses with MSC/ADAMS. This relatively specialized tool is not really geared for the more casual Pro/E designer/engineer.
