PTC Time Capsule Opened

FYI Last week Iheard that a time capsule at PTC's old headquarters in Waltham, MA was unearthed and opened. One of the items found inside was an old Consulting Journal, and one of the pages had some strange writing on it. I was able to get a mobile phone picture of this page from my inside contact.

In fact, it proved valuable on my current system setup project in ProE. We have documented our findings here: http://www.prohomepage.com/props.php?id=146 Maybe it will benefit one of your activities down the road. Ira

Holy smokes!! I learned something, there are at least two different symbols for degree:

Alt+248: °

Alt+0148: º

Holy smokes!! I just learned there are two ASCII symbols for degree:

Alt+248 - °

Alt+0186 - º

I apologize for the double post, my explorer did something strange on me.

hmmm... I always use ALT+0186 = º ... 😉

Alt+0148 gives me " (right double quote), but then I'm using a UK keyboard...
Alt+0176 is my standard degrees symbol.

Aren't the Alt+0xxx codes a Windows thing?

... Not forgetting, of course, that Alt+7 (Ctrl+G) should give "beep"!

Jonathan

Alt+0215 for ×
Alt+0216 for Ø
Alt+0177 for ±
Alt+0178 for ²
Alt+0179 for ³
Alt+0176 for another °

Kind regards,
Murat

3.. I use alt 0176 also gives you °

and alt 0177 is ± Smiley Happy

also you'll find sometimes one number won't work on one computer but will
on another.. it helps to have them all Smiley Happy but I have found these two never
seem to fail me

Chocolate is the answer. It doesn't matter what the question is.
