Pro Mechanica help!!

Hi, I have just recently installed Pro Mechanica University Edition and when I want to do a structural or thermal analysis I cannot deselect the FEM mode checkbox. Once I click ok, I get an error at the bottom that says " Mechanica Native mode is not available. Only FEM mode is available." Therefore, I cannot properly do a structural or themal analysis. I was wondering if anybody knows what exactly the problem is. Thanks

Hi I am not very sure about university edition, but The problem might be with installation. When you are installing the Mechanica module, you need to refer the address of Pro/E start up directory. This is how the relation is established b/n the Pro/E and mechanica module while you try to invoke the mechanica in Integrated mode. I suggest you to install Pro/E first, then again run the set up and now check the button of Mechanica module, and run the set up. At some point, I don't remember exactly because I used to install Mechanica years ago, so just a try, it asks about the license file and pro/e startup directory, where you need to refer the firstly installed Pro/E. If I can do anything else, please let me know. Shekar
