Problem loading session

Problem loading session

I have a problem loading some models I made yesterday in PE 2.0. It gives me the message 'A viewport with the name ""3D VP"" does not exist'. In fact PE 2.0 gives me problems loading any model, including models that have been made with PE 1 (that still load fine in PE 1). These give me a LISP error: 'the function DEACTIVATE-GDT is undefined' although I have been able to load these models in PE 2 before. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Fred

Hello,

A session file contains the environment in addition to the model data. The environment (or settings in the environment) causes the problem. If youchange the extentionfrom .se2 to .pk2 Modeling will ignore the environment and load just the model data.

I recommend to store your models as .pk2 in the future.

Please refer to the help for more information about session files.

Hope this helps!

Michael

Thanks, this helps partially. This way I will loose my 2D drawing though. Any solution for that too?

Ok, you have a drawing saved too. Then I suggest the following. 1. rename your .se2 file to .zip. 2. open that archive with winzip and delete the file ""Environment"" from that archive. 3. rename the file to .se2 4. load the .se2 file > just ignore the error message when loading the .se2 file Michael

Almost there. Just the structure browser is empty. Anyway to restore that? The model's there after I open a viewport, even the workplanes are there, in Annotation I have my drawing, so that's all OK.

Just store the model and your drawing to .bd2. Afterwards the stucture browser is updated. This structure browser problem may be caused due to this ""unconventional"" load method. I recommend to store your models and drawings as bundle (bd2) in the future. Michael
