Every answer I got to this question was similar to this one:
I think you have to use the Search tool now instead of Select by menu......
Pick the binoculars icon from the icons at the top, it's pretty robust,
there are a lot of options in there and you can do a lot.....that having
been said, it's a little intimidating, I wasn't very comfortable with it in
the beginning, but I'm used to it now.
When you are in the middle of assembly, just hit the icon, search for the
datum you want, and when you are finished in the dialog, it should
automatically select that datum.
