Hello,
I'm trying to perform an air flow simulation on a part that I imported. I used the import doctor to try to fix the geometry and create a solid. But running the simulation, I think it isn't actually doing anything. It appears as a solid body that's why I thought it would work but apparently no.
Define appears as a solid body? How did you test for solid geometry? You may not have solid geometry in the model. Shaded surfaces can appear solid so seeing a shaded image is not confirmation of solid geometry existence in a model.
If you view the import in wireframe you can tell immediately if it is a solid or not based on your system color assignments.
You can try CFA, CFA does not require solid bodies for external flow problems. You can run air around vehicle or aircraft with sheetbodies in CFA
