Hi,
I'm wondering that the value of Damping Coefficient (%) in dynamic analysis is same as Damping Ratio?
If not same how can I find this value? Thank you.
Solved! Go to Solution.
From "Help Center" - "Damping Coefficient (%)": https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_plus/usascii/simulate/simulate/damp_coeff.html
Hi VladimirN,
Thank you for your information. I've read through the Help. I would like to confirm my understand is correct.
As the Damping Ratio expression is
Damping Ratio = Actual Damping Coefficient / Critical Damping Coefficient.
So the Damping Coefficient (%) in Creo Simulate is Damping Ratio * 100
Is my understand correct?

Note that when comparing Creo dynamic frequency results to other solvers that there may be a factor applied like damping = (C/C0) X 2.0
