I have setup a simulation study for a skeletal frame structure which is approximately the size of a small refrigerator and although there is material failure given an excessive load that I placed, the Von Mises color stress results remains fairly uniform, not really highlighting "hot spots" as I would expect. I'm wondering if there is a scaling factor setting somewhere that is off for my study.
Thanks,
Matt
What version of Creo are you using? By skeletal frame do you mean you used beam idealizations? Scaling factors would not change stress distributions but the plot legend can change how it looks visually. Do you know whether your units are correct for the model, material properties, and loads? Does the displacement result of the model seem correct?
Updating scaling factor in legend fixed the problem...Thanks.
