Currently, it is not possible to have an image caption without an image border. The border color is tied to the caption text.  I can select a white border, but it also turns the text white. It would be nice to have a check box for no border and a separate color selection for the caption text. If this is not possible, the ability to edit/customize the borders in a similar manner as page sizes and callouts using the user prefs would work too.

This feature is now available in Creo Illustrate 4.1 released June 2017.
