Editor Support for Indian Languages

During all our interactions with Indian Customers for Arbortext Technical Information Solution customers are asking for Technical Information that supports native Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada. We had raised a technical support call C11845800 for this purpose and we get to understand Arbortext Editor supports only those languages listed in the preferences.

We request you take this input to build the product in a manner which can support native Indian languages.

Hi,

There is one SPR on this request filled long time back. But so far no support on indian languages. Unless many customer create call on this requesting this feature, i doubt it will be coming in future..

For the effective communication with our dealer technicians, we need HINDI and other INDIAN regional language option in Arbortext.

This is very much mandatory from our side.

Kindly do the needful as soon as possible.

Due to this limitation in Arbortext editor, we are outsourcing this work with a different software.

Can I please clarify what is meant by 'support' in this case? Are you talking about output (in which case, the APP engine supports OpenType which will do a good job of formatting these languages) or are there other features which are needed to 'support' these languages??
