Need to enable single sign on capability between Windchill and ArborText. This will help remove the need to continue signing on to Arbortext if accessed from Windchill
PTC is working on a single sign-on initiative. We'll modify Arbortext Editor to take advantage of it when it is available.
The SSO project is targeted for availability in 2017. We don't have a fully committed road map ready to publish quite yet. Windchill SSO capabilities are in progress, however, some Windchill clients may not be supported in the initial release. The Arbortext Editor is one of the identified initial clients. More details on the SSO solution will be available in the next month or two. The supported configuration would need to be reviewed by the customer to ensure that it fits into the existing configuration, specifically looking at the intended IDP (Identity Provider) and the auth server.
Depending on the timeline and requirements, if something is needed sooner there are other PTC customers that have implemented SSO configurations through GS engagements. This can help to provide a "workable" solution, but it would not be a "supported" solution. The SSO project mentioned will provide an OOTB SSO solution that will be supported by PTC.
