1.Open a stylesheet of a doc. that has custom tables in it.

2.Click on Custom tables tab.

3.In the Background tab assign a background color to "Header row background color" dropdown.

4.Click on Preview option in the Menu items.

5.Select any desired output...... say PDF(APP) .

RE: Header row background color is missing .

This is a limitation of custom tables.

Hence  filed an enhancement request.
