Rendering the PVZ background transparent

Rendering the PVZ background transparent

Hello!

When publishing a PVZ-/intelligent-graphic from Arbortext Editor with Arbortext Publishing Engine, the background of the PVZ is being rendered white and not transparent.

This could be solved as follows:

- Rendering the background in all cases transparent instead of white.

- Being able to define a default-color as background-color for all PVZs (so a system-default with color choice).

- Being able to define the background-color per image.

Here how it looks:

And here how it should look like:

Please remind, that this is a PDF from Arbortext Publishing, where we use a PVZ in the DITA.

For PTC: Please see also Call C12533505. This product idea probably needs changes on the Arbortext AND Creo side.

Kind regards,

your Windchill-Team@DATACOPY

Hi-

Generally it is Creo View that lets you pick a background color. You can set one in Creo Illustrate but that can be over ridden by the viewer. A 3D image doesn’t really have a background. We currently don't have anything on the roadmap to allow PE to spec a background color before it converts it to PDF.

However, we have had interest from customers for outputting Creo Illustrate with an Alpha channel for the raster images so they can let the page color be used. This might be something we can do that can help in this use case. This is not on a committed roadmap at this time, but in a futures backlog.

Thanks!
