It is not unusual for publishers of technical manuals, where PDF pages are formatted in multiple columns per page, to require that footnotes appear at the bottom of the column in which they originate. Currently Styler/APP will only allow footnotes to span across the whole width of the page. The user interface appears to offer a "column" option in the footnote format dialog, but it does not work.
