import or upload Graphic Dynamic Document

import or upload Graphic Dynamic Document

When you use Arbortext Editor, you can add images stored in windchill as Graphic Dynamic Document. This kind of object is a subtype of EPMDocument. You can create a GDD using a command, in File menu, that upload only one file at a time. If you have 1.000 images to upload, it takes a lot of time because there isn't a loader.

Is it possible to create a loader also for Dynamic Documents?

You could create a single XML file or set of XML files that only contain the graphics and burst that XML into Windchill. That would burst the graphics in batch.

Or you could use Publishing Engine to either burst the aforementioned XML or batch load the graphics with some custom coding to load the documents.

have you loaded something with the method you suggest? Windchill loaders doesn't work with EPM Documents.

Enable Upload Documents from Compressed File for Graphic Types. I've been asking for this for a while.

I agree with Jeff that this can be done using the Arbortext Editor burst logic and burst configurations files.

For Joe's suggestion I would recommend you post that in the Windchill ideas site if you haven't already.
