5.2 JVM

Can anyone tell me what version of the JVM Epic Editor 5.2 ships with?

Thanks,

If you have a copy, just bring up the java console:

Java VM Version 1.5.0_04-b05 -- Sun Microsystems Inc.

Thanks: I don't have 5.2 so I couldn't test this myself.

Does anyone have any experience using Java 1.5 with Epic 5.1 (using set
javavmpath)?

Any problems in doing this?

I think this has been discussed on this list in the past, but I don't have
access to the archives.

Thanks,

So, uh, has anyone had success bringing up the Java console?

I just installed 5.2 in a separate directory from 5.1 and receive this message when attempting to do anything with Java (including attempts to bring up the console):

[A30156] Cannot register Java native calls for the AOM Node interface.

Is it possible that a prior installation of both the JDK and JRE for 1.5.0_04 could be getting in the way?

You know how it is; there must be at least 5 different versions of Java this-or-that in under a year of using this machine.

Regards,
Jason

there
must be aom.jar either in your APTCUSTOM/classes or in your classpath somewhere.
Remove it and you will be able to bring up java console.

Thanks! That did the trick.
