We are in the midst of a pilot implementation of Arbortext and Windchill/PDMLink. Our eventual goal is to have all of our tech pub "pieces" stored via PDMLink, assembled in Arbortext, and printed via the Publishing Engine. We have accomplished this in extremely rudimentary form in our pilot. This is a multi-site implementation which will leverage hosted servers.
We are attempting to handle all graphics, topics, translations--EVERYTHING in this environment. We are at the naming conventions, metadata, stylesheet planning phases.
We have significant gaps in our implementation that we are filling via consultation and training. We see great possibilities but have encountered a very steep learning curve.
Anyone doing this "whole enchilada" approach and have any comments/words of wisdom. Are you bragging? Crying? Wishing? Kicking tail? Hoping?
Thanks, Mark
