Are there any known problems running Arbortext Editor 6.1, M020 on Windoze 10 platforms?

Our company is upgrading to Windows 10 for all platforms.  Does anyone know of any problems operating Arbortext Editor 6.1, M020 in that operating system?  If there are please let me and everyone else know what they are and any work-arounds that have been identified.

Hi John,

According to the PTC software matrix (http://support.ptc.com/WCMS/files/157263/en/Arbortext-Software-Compatibility-Matrices-6.1F000.pdf‌) Editor 6.1 is supported on Windows XP, 7 and 8. Windows 10 is not on the support list so if you do find issues, you will be on your own. I believe the latest version Editor 7.0 is supported on Windows 10.

Gareth

Hi Gareth

Thank you for your response and your guidance.  I couldn't find the matrix the other day and I was getting rather frustrated.  I really appreciate the link.

One of our authors has upgraded to Windows 10 on his machine and so far Editor appears to be working quite well.  However since PTC will end support for 6.1 at the end of the year, we will be upgrading to V 7. latest.

Again, thank you for your help.

John

Hi John,

No worries. The way I found that document was to go to support.ptc.com -> Arbortext (tab) -> Reference Documents (under Quick Links), then fill out the search fields.

BTW there is another document you may be interested in if you haven't found it already: the PTC Product Calendar (http://support.ptc.com/cs/product_calendar/PTC_Product_Calendar.htm‌).
