which platform do you use ?
If it is MS then the most suitable one is XP pro with CJK enabled.
I have had many problems with Chinese language and Epic 5.1 under W2k
(it's better with 5.2 under W2k with Chinese locale AND regional
settings).
No problem with Japanese language and Epic 5.1 under W2k with Japanese
locale.

I am using Epic 5.1. I try to open a SGML document with asia characters
in it. I got the following error message:
Character code 21512 is not a valid SGML character.
UNUSED and shunned characters (SHUNCHAR) are not allowed in documents
In Epic, the asia characters displays as blanks. It seems it is a
config issue. But I can not locate the detailed position (in dcl file?).
