We have thousands of references, mostly from PubMed. Currently, each reference is tagged in DITA in a chapter. Many references are re-used in other chapters. For our French content, we copy all the references from the chapter into the French related chapter document. The DITA chapters are managed in Windchill Arbortext Content Manager (ACM). Any suggestions on how we can make better use of ACM to manage references? How do you manage your references?
I created a topic with statements to be reused and gave each one an ID. I then created a second document that has the conref'd version of the statements to be reused. Our authors can then go and copy the conref'd version into their manuals. It allows us to change one location and update all locations.
