IsoView Eval Kit--No Rotation Tool?

I downloaded the IsoView eval kit to test how users can interact with Iso drawings. I can zoom in/out, but there is no option to rotate. Is this a limitation of the eval version only? I would like for our customers to use IsoView to rotate drawings, as in a CAD 3-D modeling program. Is this possible? Thanks.

Hi Robert, the eval version of IsoView has not functional restrictions. You can use the rotation tool from the IsoView toolbar to rotate 3D content. Just that I have mentioned it: IsoDraw illustrations created with IsoDraw Foundation (i.e. 2D) can not be rotated. Regards, Christian

Thank you, Christian. Unfortunately, I am not seeing what you see (i.e., I have no rotate tool). I have the rotate tool option in my Preferences, which I have checked/unchecked. I am trying this with a sample graphic that came with the IsoView download. Does that make any difference? Thank you for your help.

Hi Robert, the example you are referring to is a 2D drawing. It was either created with IsoDraw Foundation or is the result of a converted CAD file (IsoDraw CADprocess). These types of files can not be turned (i.e. rotated) around since they only give the impression to be 3D. An IsoDraw file can hold both, 2D and 3D. But only the 3D portion could be rotated. The sales department can give you a live demo of IsoView for your evaluation during that you can ask all your questions. Just contact PTC and you will be brought in contact with the right person. Thanks Christian. Just after my last message, I found a true 3-D drawing and the rotation button appeared on my toolbar. Thank you for all your help.
