PTC/USER 2008 survey

Paul Nagai posted this message on the "other" Arbortext email list (I highly recommend joining this user-driven list): http://portal.ptcuser.org/index.php?mo=fo&op=si&topic=21 Direct link to the entire thread: http://portal.ptcuser.org/index.php?mo=fo&op=st&thread=30302 --- POST EDITED FOR CORRECT URLs --- Hi everyone, Here is the survey/poll I mentioned in my earlier e-mail. Please take a few minutes (5 should be enough) to complete the following survey which measures Arbortext users' interest in a list of presentation topics suggested and requested on Adepters. Feel free to pass this on to non-Adepters-Arbortext users, too, but use this URL: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=mrmHfU1qazqP6AHX2p8YCA_3d_3d I will close the poll next Tuesday evening, Pacific Time, and report on the results. Of course, if there is a topic you would like to learn more about or present yourself that is NOT on this list, please share it with us. Next week I will turn the "final" list into a poll so Adepters can "vote" for the topics most interesting to them. That way, anyone considering presenting (and having a full room on presentation day will have a way to gauge the interest in a particular topic. There are some past AUGI - PTC/User presenters and attendees (you would recognize most of them from their helpful posts here on Adepters) who are eager to help potential presenters select and refine a topic, prepare an abstract/application, and review the presentation itself. Further, we are planning an Arbortext presenter's after-hours get-together first thing at the conference so presenters will be sure to see some friendly and familiar faces on their presentation day! We have a lot of other ideas, not specifically related to presentations, about enriching the Arbortext-specific attendee's conference experience but not enough time or bodies to do everything. Anyone wanting to help out or share new ideas is welcome! Send an e-mail to me personally or through Adepters. Whatever you're comfortable with. Finally, although the thought of presenting can be daunting (whether or not you've done it before), it is extremely rewarding and I encourage you to dive in and not look back! I have no regrets about my first presentation two years ago and look forward to presenting again! -- Paul Nagai

Hi, I just updated the summary of results. Surveys are still being completed. Time is running out if you're considering submitting a presentation. Don't miss the submission deadline. This survey is being passed on further than expected and so won't be closed for some time now. If you haven't responded, you still may do so. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=mrmHfU1qazqP6AHX2p8YCA_3d_3d You can view interim results (as of 1/2/2008) here: http://www.panaga.com/survey/SurveySummary.html Happy New Year. -- Paul Nagai paul@panaga.com
