Hello Adepters,
Since PTC/User 2007 I have been keeping a list of topics various Adepters
suggested they would like to see presented or to present themselves at

the original suggestions.

If my light editing has altered your suggestion significantly, don't
hesitate to re-clarify. Also, if you don't understand what a suggestion
means, don't hesitate to ask. At a minimum, I'll tell you what I think it
means! Hopefully the original suggester will answer any questions, too. Of
course, if there is a topic you would like to learn more about or present
yourself that is NOT on this list, please share it with us.
Next week I will turn the "final" list into a poll so Adepters can "vote"
for the topics most interesting to them. That way, anyone considering
presenting (and having a full room on presentation day 😉 will have a way to
gauge the interest in a particular topic.
There are some past AUGI - PTC/User presenters and attendees (you would
recognize most of them from their helpful posts here on Adepters) who are
eager to help potential presenters select and refine a topic, prepare an
abstract/application, and review the presentation itself. Further, we are
planning an Arbortext presenter's after-hours get-together first thing at
the conference so presenters will be sure to see some friendly and familiar
faces on their presentation day!
We have a lot of other ideas, not specifically related to presentations,
about enriching the Arbortext-specific attendee's conference experience but
not enough time or bodies to do everything. Anyone wanting to help out or
share new ideas is welcome! Send an e-mail to me personally or through
Adepters. Whatever you're comfortable with.
Finally, although the thought of presenting can be daunting (whether or not
you've done it before), it is extremely rewarding and I encourage you to
dive in and not look back! I have no regrets about my first presentation two
years ago and look forward to presenting again!
