Hi Jason,
We have an application that automatically creates xml documents according to the product
configuration that we have sold to a particular customer. This application sends the xml to PE for
composition, and a PDF file is returned. As I understand it, we use the SOAP protocol which exposes
web services that allow the application to pass the xml and processing parameters to PE, and allow
the PE server to return the PDF file.
If you are interested in more detail, I can put you in touch with the developer.

- [adepters] - Question regarding E3/PE and PDF
output...
Hi all,
I am trying to devise a solution using the built-in f=convert function in E3/PE to return a PDF, but
to a location on the file system (as opposed to returning it in a browser window). I tried
zip-output=yes, but it still prompts with a “save as…” dialog. I need a hands-fee solution for
this. Anyone have any ideas or have accomplished this in the past? I was trying to avoid writing a
custom ACL/CCF solution if at all possible (but of course, if this isn’t possible…)
Thanks in advance,
-Jason
