S1000D

Hi All,

I have a few questions about S1000D. Right now I'm using Epic 4.3. I've installed and compiled Issue 3 of the SGML DTDs using Epic Editor because I wanted to take a look at S1000D. I noticed though that the distribution I obtained from

<u>http://www.s1000d.org/</u>

does not include a stylesheet for output. I looked through the achive of posts here and saw the last one regarding S1000D stylesheets was in 2005. Does anyone know if Arbortext Editor 5.3 for windows M090 already contains the S1000D DTDs and a stylesheet as part of the standard distribution?

Question two! Are there any publicly available xml stylesheets to produce IETPs or paper documents from the S1000D?

Many Thanks,

Greg

🙂

Greg,

as I know, Arbortext Editor 5.3 does not include S1000D doctypes in the box.
When I need to edit and publish some S1000D documents, I have to developed
stylesheets by Arbortext Styler.
It was easy to create stylesheet for descript documents, some more hard
for procedure documents. And very heavy for fault or crew.

PTC has solution Arbortext CSDB S1000D - in fact solution which was
acquired with company LBS Ltd. Arbortext Editor (5.2 or 5.3) is using
S1000D schemas, but for publishing solution is using XSL-FO stylesheet.
Solution supports all document types except electrical wire doctypes.

Hi Alexander,

Thank you very much for your reply. I looked quuite extensively for
S1000D stylsheets on the net and didn't see anything in the public
domain. I'll be sure to take a look at the Arbortext CSDB S1000D.

Many Thanks,

Greg
