SCN number?

SCN number?

Hoping someone has a quick answer...

I need my SCN number to place a tech support call. The only bad part is
PTC provides NO mechanism for Arbortext users to find this. It isn't
registered on any previous call, I can't find it on my registration
profile, and the help and search both point me towards a "detailed
license report" but don't actually provide a link to where this is
generated.

By chance, does anyone know a quick way to access this, URL, anything?

This might get you in the vicinity:

There used to be a button or link that would e-mail you a list of your
licenses. That seems to be gone. I couldn't find our SCN listed anywhere in
the licensing system ... I thought I remembered seeing it there on the
license web forms and/or when a license was requested and/or returned. But I
don't see it now ... 😕

Well, I feel better knowing it wasn't just me. I scoured that webform,
and couldn't find it either. They ask for it for the call logger, but
looking up old calls, they don't display the number, even though you
have to log in and authenticate to see your old calls. That's a bit
frustrating.

Fortunately, I scoured my email archives and found it on the original
email discussing the transition to PTC support. Hope it still works.

Take care,

-Jason

My call form auto-populates with the SCN and all the info associated with my
last opened call. That said, I do remember the odd occasion when that didn't
happen and the pain associated with tracking down our SCN. I now have a note
with our SCN (and two customer numbers ... don't ask, it used to be three!).

Paul,

I think the "auto population" comes from cookies stored during a
previous call. When the company replaced my PC this stopped happening
and I had to go find it. In my case, it was on a letter PCT sent out
when they acquired Arbortext (probably the same one that they e-mailed
to you).

The SCN number is the Service Contract Number.

You can get it:

Click the "Find SCN" part of the text to the right of the box that
says: "More Information, Find SCN" (It doesn't look like a link, but
is)

They will send a report to your email address (or your license
administrator, if it isn't you.) (It'll take an hour or more,
however).

I'm checking on where else this number may exist, but PTC has gone
home for the weekend.

I'll let you know what I find out.
