Setting up a new PE installation...

Setting up a new PE installation...

I am installing a PE instance on a new replacement server. PE 5.3M040,
on an Intel box running Win2K3.

Anyway, I have the license installed, and I can access the PE
installation remotely from a browser, and get it to return PDF and PS
files. However, when I try to run the f=convert to HTML test, the
browser returns the following error:

Content pipeline failed rc='0'.

The following errors were recorded:

[A20302] Failure post-processing parameters of composer type htmlfile.
[A20337] Error writing
'c:\DOCUME~1\e3user\LOCALS~1\Temp\e3temp_3988\.aptcache\tmp-3988-1227554
570-1.xsl'

not match signer information of other classes in the same package

The following Composer Log entries were recorded:
Convert D:\Arbortext\PE/e3/e3/e3demo.xml for .

FATAL ERROR: Operation terminated.
Date: Mon Nov 24 13:22:51 2008
Milliseconds: 1227554571

Now, if I try to use an Editor client to publish anything (preview, PDF,
PS) it tells me that a composer file (*.ccf) for this operation is not
configured on the PE server. The DCF files are all configured (I
checked), these all worked fine for our 5.1F E3 installation. I went
through the whole knowledge base and nothing seems to work. Anyone have
any ideas?

Thanks,

-Jason

It's simplistic, and you almost certainly already addressed this, but...

Any time we get the Editor error message that a ccf is not configured on
the PE server for a given doctype (we may have just run another doctype
with no problem), we restart Tomcat and the error goes away. Based on
that and the number of "apache" references in your error trace, that may
be all you need to do; or perhaps the Tomcat portion of the install
suffered a glitch.

And as I type this it occurs to me, is IIS (Microsoft's Internet
Information Service) installed and active on the server? Could be a
conflict there. Minor grasping at straws effort on that one.
