Windows 7 support
PTC issued TPI 146734 today which specifies Windows 7 certified support for Arbortext 5.4 patch M030. What surprises me is this additional information: "Windows 7 support is not planned for earlier releases of Arbortext Editor, Architect, or Styler." Does anyone else find this a little short-sighted? We're first moving to Arbortext 5.3 in June (tied to the level supported in our CMS). Seems like we'd be in trouble if our company upgrades everyone to Windows 7.
Has anyone tried 5.3 in Windows 7?

Hi Dave,
I have 5.3 and 5.4 working on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. I
haven't noticed any issues yet. I guess what PTC is saying is that 5.3
*may* work, but if you uncover an issue that is due to something in
Windows 7, then they will have no obligation to fix it.
What would be really interesting to learn, is that during PTC's own QA
process for Windows 7 certification on 5.4, did they have to fix any
bugs that were directly due to Windows 7 differences. That would give
you a guide as to what, if anything, may be problematic in 5.3. Perhaps
some clues will be in the 5.4 M030 release notes?
Cheers,
Gareth

We have a couple of people running Arbortext 5.3 M040 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with no problems so far.
