"maple-revx" usage

Is anyone else confused by the "maple-revx" used in Knowledge Base Monitor
Notifications and other communications, web pages, etc.?

What is maple-rev4 m040?

I know it's 5.3 (it says so right there in the TAN), but why mix metaphors
(to mix metaphors)?

This happened because Arbortext was using one naming convention and PTC
using another one. We have been working to resolve the rough edges and
we are just rolling out changes to the Arbortext naming convention that
will bring it into line with the PTC one. Nothing happens overnight but
you will see new entries using a better convention.
