Animation License Issue

Animation License Issue

Our office recently upgraded our License to the PROE_DesignAdvP license which should include Animation.  However, when we click the Animation Icon we receive the following error message.

Application ANIMATION is not available or supported on this platform.

Any ideas on why this is?

Thanks

Hi,

please tell us:

  • what operating system is installed on your PC
  • what Creo version is installed on your PC

Notes:

  • some Creo functionality is not available if you use default installation procedure
  • you can also forward this question to PTC Support

Martin Hanák

64-Bit Operating System, x64-based processor

Creo-4.0-M030

I'll look into if we used the default installation procedure.

Thanks

Jim

Hi,

I checked installation procedure - I think Animate is installed by default.

Please double check your licence file (I guess it must contains module 137).

Sometime the license is split into several INCREMENT blocks. If module 137 is not present in PROE_DesignAdvP then it must have its own INCREMENT block. In such case parametric.psf file must contain following line:

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_DesignAdvP (137)

I located our parametric.psf and the following line. As you can see it does not include the ‘137’ in the parenthesis. Not sure if this is a problem or not though.

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_DesignAdvP ()

Hi,

now you have to check the contents of license file. I hope your license is floating, so the name of license file is license.dat and is located on computer which serves as license server.

Check the block of lines which start with INCREMENT PROE_DesignAdvP

Inside the block there is list of modules, see following example ... LO=(7,10,17,34,51,69,115,324,325,336,347).

Before INCREMENT there is a list of comments presenting module names.

In the license file there may be additional INCREMENT BLOCKS ... check all of them.
