Determine Force

Hi all

I'm trying to set something up in WF MDO.

I have a clutch pedal assembly (yes, I prefer manual shift) 🙂 that has a
return spring. I want to determine the force needed to move the pedal and
graph it over time or vs a measure if possible.

I have the assembly and spring assembled and if I add a servo to get the
motion, I can determine the force the spring makes.

I'd just like to have the force needed on the pedal.

I'm sure I've done something similar in Motion, just never tried in MDO yet.

Any pointers?

Thanks.

RE: Determine Force

Rui,

This is an inverse dynamics problem. You can refer to a tutorial I
wrote a little while ago to give you an idea of how to tackle this. Here
is the link.

Good luck

Re: Determine Force

Thanks for the link, Todd.

I haven't managed, though.

When I use the torques, the assembly does not move.

Attaches are the tables for rotation and axial moment.

Anything look funny?

Thanks
