Excessive Unwanted Parents

When I constrain parts to some components of my assembly they gain many parents that they have no references to. Why?

Can you attach a screenshot of exactly what you are talking about?

When you assemble a component into an assembly, any constraint that uses other parts or assemblies become a parent for that assembly. The references are not in the component itself.
