Hiding a Cosmetic Sketch in a Merged Model

Hiding a Cosmetic Sketch in a Merged Model

I've got a cosmetic X-hatched sketch in a model that is on a layer, I can hide/unhide it in the model and print. This model is merged into another model to create a machined model. I can't seem to get the cosmetic sketch to hide in the merged model. I tried to create a new layer in the merged/machined model and all I can select to onto that layer is "Solid Geometry" or the Merge Feature. I only need the cosmetic feature to show up in the drawing, it is hidden in the part model, but it still shows up in the merged model and assemblies that it's assembled into.

Is there anyway to hide this in the merged model?

Adding the Merge Feature to a layer and hide it should do the trick.
