Hi users, I have 2 parts that are almost a mirror image of each other. One has some extra features so I created the simple part first. I created a mill window for one of the mirrored features.I then used save a copy to save under new part #. I created a new assembly with the new reference part and was going to redefine sequences using new references from new part. When I brought in my part I placed it up in the model tree ahead of all the operations. Doing this alone caused my mill window to change and not mill the entire window. Moving the part lower in the model tree past the window sequence solved the problem but now I could not reference the new part. The only solution was to bring in the new part as a workpiece. Then I could place the new part anywhere I wanted without affecting the toolpaths. I assembled the part using the default setting. No other changes were done other than stated above. It's hard to know when doing something is going to create problems. Is this a mill window problem or a WF 3.0 issue. It has not been a problem in the past with other types of toolpaths. I am using build m040.
Thanks for all the help this year and happy holidays. Rob Jeanjaquet
