My users are running into a wall with performance and I thought I would put some feelers out to see if anyone has experienced this or can point me in the correct directions? I personally think that the additional detail we are adding is causing the system to stretch to its limits, however, my CAD gurus have a great point, there must be those of you creating nuclear plants, space craft, or aircraft carriers with WF, and these assemblies are a lot larger than mine! 🙂
I believe we have "medium" size and complexity of assemblies, Castings and electronics to make ruggedized electronics.
A couple of GB? Part count several thousand? Cables, boards, small (tiny components), we have begun adding a lot of detail to these electronic components, connectors and boards.
WF 4.0 M160
I think we have fairly high end systems:
DELL M6400 32bit, 4 GB of RAM (with memory cap lifted/tweaked to 3GB)
Plenty of Hard Drive, and lots of bandwidth.
Going to 64bit WIN 7 seems to help a lot.
