Rotationally project edge of solid to plane

I have searched the archives, but cannot find how to do this. I am looking to use the edge from a solid (in an assembly) and rotationally project the edge to a plane. Alternatively, create a surface by revolving the solid body edge, and then extracting the intersection of the surface to a plane. Basically like creating a trace curve of a curve (which would be a surface).

I have done this with UG in the past, but cannot figure out how to do it in Pro (I have WF2 and WF4).

Attached is an image showing what I am looking to do.

That's not easy to do. The way I've done it in the past was:

1.
select the edge so it's turns a fat red
2.
Hit ctrl-c to copy it and then select paste special from the
edit menu
3.
Select the option to rotate the copy and select your axis to
rotate about
4.
Enter an appropriate angle dimension to place the copied curve
on the other side of the plane
5.
Create a variable section sweep using the original edge and the
copied edges as trajectory references
6.
You need to select the option to 'constant normal direction' and
select your axis as the normal. This will make your section stay normal
to the pivot axis
7.
Your sketch - this is important - should have no dimensions,
just a single arc. One end of the arc is on one trajectory, the other
end is on the other trajectory and the center is aligned to the axis
8.
Complete the feature, creating a surface that is essentially
revolved.

Now, create an intersection curve between that surface and your datum
plane and you have your rotationally projected edge.

I typed this up hastily, I may have missed a step or some detail, but
hopefully you can make it work.
