Skeleton Parts & Family Tables

Has anyone developed a process in Creo that will allow skeleton parts to work with family table assemblies in regards to large assembly variant management?

I'm not sure what you need, but you can create a family table of an assembly's skeleton.

Then create a family table of the assembly, select the skeleton as a component item, then type in the instance names (instead of Y or N).
