Parameters filled out from excel

Rich,

I agree, you do want to use a start part all of the time so you have all
of your company standards incorporated.

Once in a while you will recieve a part from a vendor, other company or a
newbie just imports it, so you have to add the parameters.

Lance & Co,
Is there some reason you wouldn't want the imported files to use the start
part files? We use the config.pro option "intf_in_use_template_models"
>yes to force STEP, IGES, etc. to use our start part template. That way
we've got our parameters, datums, layers in the model. The user just tells
Pro/E to open the import file and it automatically contains our standard
info. Just a thought.

Rich,

That is a good tip. It will be implemented within minutes.

Re: "Error writing file; check disk space or write permissions".

I am still getting this problem in. 5.0. It's the student version and I'm using it for class. I don't know if it has anything to do with saving files to a flash drive.
