Working in large assemblies, is there a way to tell Pro not to regenerate
certain features in the model tree to decrease regen time?

I am going to say YES, but I am not sure exactly how it is done. You may
want to consider utilizing simplified reps as a way decrease this
regeneration issue.



Also this may be as simple as an Hidden Line Removal option. I'm just
throwing some options out there.

I am by no means a guru, however can't you click the regeneration stoplight to select the conditions that an automatic regeneration occurs? I remember playing with this once when the light was stuck to amber and there were options for this.
