solid text

I have projected text on a cylinder surface in an assembly using a datum
sketch and I also tried a cosmetic sketch,
but the text is only an outline of the text. Is there a way to fill the
text outline and make it solid?

Mike,

Use the Offset feature to create surface or solid geometry of the text. In WF5
you must select the surface (use the geometry selection filter) you want your
text to extrude off of. In the Offset feature mode use the With Draft option and
then use a 0 degree draft to extrude it straight. I think there is also an
option to project the sketch (text in your case) so it is normal to the sketch
plane OR normal to the surface you are projecting off of.

Hope this helps. Good Luck

Sincerely,
